KVD Liquid Matte Lipstick UPDATED Formula

I've got to share with you all as I was very curious myself if the new KVD Liquid Matte Lipstick formula was as nice as the old one.

I have 3 shades in the old formula:

Bow N Arrow - cool toned grey brown

Ludwig - cool toned rose pink

Vampira - dark burgundy red

Here are the swatches on my light skin tone:

The old formula was beautiful - lightweight yet very pigmented and lasted pretty well. Definitely on the dryer side but not uncomfortable to wear.

What was most unique were these cool toned shades which these days are so hard to find.

Unfortunately, with the new formula shades were updated as well and these gorgeous Bow n Arrow type shades seem to be gone for good.

I picked up these two shades from the reformulated line-up:

Calytrix - brown nude (on KVD website this is said to be the same as Bow n Arrow)

Moth Orchid - rose pink (I was expecting this to be similar to Ludwig)

Interestingly old Ludwig shade looks more like the new Calytrix rather than the old Bow n Arrow. Whilst the new liquid lipstick formula is just as nice, very lightweight and pigmented, smells of beautiful vanilla scent, but it is sad to see that original shades have been forgotten and replaced.

This is Calytrix on my lips. It does resemble the cool toned look of Bow n Arrow but the shade has a lot more red pigment in it and is not as grey in comparison. The new shade looks more purple than grey.

I still love this formula due to how thin it is, but wish these shades were more grey like they used to be.
